Toyo University PPP

Toyo University, a private university based in Tokyo established its "PPP Graduate School" in 2006, in response to emerging demands on PPP.  Students from central government institutions, local governments and private companies learn PPP theory and methods through practical PPP projects. As of April 2016, more than 150 students have obtained Masters degree (MA in Economics) and worked as PPP professionals in various places.

It is woth mentioning that Toyo University was certified as "Specialist Centre of Excellence on PPPs in Local Governments" by The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in August 2015. Based on this accreditation, APPPI further promotes the cooperation with international institutions, including UN to promote the cooperation of local governments and companies of Japan with the ones of Asia countries.

Toyo University also established Research Center for PPP in 2008, which conducts researches across the world. The research center has been working together closely with other organizations which promote PPP.
